I haven't

been blogging here recently, but there is plenty I want to talk about.

First of all, I've been watching some amazing videos by a really awesome lady named Marion. They've been so inspiring that they're making me want to paperscrap now. Although I can't afford it right now. Some of her ideas are really cost-efficient and clever, like the paper bag album, and envelope album! I'm excited to try them out when I have the time to buy some papers and embellishments. A link to her page will be put on the sidebar when I'm finished posting this. Her blog is called A Piece of Craft.

Through her blog-portal she does this thing called ATC. It means "Artist Trading Cards," where papercraft artists make their own set of cards for a specific theme each month and they get sent to her. She sends 11 different ones back out to each person. It's a really interesting thing to do and a great way to get inspired. So I think, when I'm a bit older and hopefully more into the scrapworld of the internet, I can gather a good enough fan-type base to start my own ATC club. In the mean time, I kind of want to join one, but don't know where I should.

Tomorrow is National Scrapbooking Day, which is wonderful! I wish I could do something scrapbook-related, I probably will actually, but I might have to work in the morning. I'm really excelling at work, and I hope that I can get the opportunity to be Assistant Manager soon, if Ashley quits. I'm not saying she should, because I do like having her around. Her company is very amusing.

It's the beginning of May now, and I cannot wait to graduate. It's not so much that I hate school or anything, but I want to meet new people. Move on to the next step already. High School was never really my "thing." It didn't come easy for me social-wise, and it didn't click with me as much as something like work did. I love my work, it comes to me like second nature. Working with the customers, the people that work there, I even like my boss! It's hard to find a boss you like. I want to move on, to experience new things. To not have school set me back from doing what I want to do. I want to go to Sea World at any given moment without having to take a bus [although I must say I do love buses. I don't love Downtown]. Soon, I'll have this freedom. For now, it's 2-4 classes a day that don't stimulate my mind at all. Maybe that's the problem, I've been through every nick and cranny of our school that it's no longer inspirational. It was more inspirational when it was under construction, there was always some underlying hope. Now, it's trashed again. I don't know what it is, the people I go to school with, or the amount of discipline these kids get. Whatever it is, I hope the whole world is not like the way they act. NOT that they're terrible people, I just enjoy the company of respectful people. And a clean environment.

On a somewhat ending note, the following is a scrapbook page I worked on a while ago in Photoshop. The photos are group photos and one of Melinda and I at Core Camp. I really enjoyed doing this layout because of all the bright colors I used. It made the page feel funner and less tiring like the group pictures somewhat portray. The camp was held in UC Riverside in August, so it was burning hot every day! I had a blast though.


I have 2 assignments to get done for my mentoring program with Digital Scrapbook Place. I might as well work on them tomorrow night or Sunday morning after/before work. Some day this weekend, my parents and I are going to go out for dinner for my 18th birthday (which is on Tuesday). My dad will be gone for 2 weeks starting Monday for a little bit of routine Army training, so we have to celebrate early! All I want is dinner for my birthday. Scrapbook supplies would be amazing, but I don't think that's going to happen, considering my parents don't know that much about what I like, and my new scrapbook obsession.

For my actual birthday, I was thinking of just going out for dinner with my mom and Robert, my boyfriend. Then coming home for some brownies [I'll bake 'em! Ha] and movies. I'm not sure yet though. I'm not interested in smoking, naked people of any sort, or gambling, so none of those options are appealing. The only thing I'm interested in that makes being 18 an advantage, is driving my boyfriend around.

I am a little sleepy, so I'm going to get off now, auf wiedersehen!

Closer ...

Spring break is coming to an end, and it feels as if it wasn't much of a break at all. I went to Sea World, yeah, that was very fun. And I have Saturday & today off which is excellent! But working everyday was pretty tiring. It was fun though! I enjoyed everyday at work. I'm just glad that I get to relax a little bit.

Robert invited me to an Easter brunch at his sister's house. I would like to go, right now I'm so tired though. Hopefully I'll get my butt up soon and take a shower. I'm gonna start working on a doodle soon too maybe. I have a litttleeee bit of homework to get done before tomorrow! I'd rather just watch people bake cakes.

Flat Tire ...

I wouldn't know how to change one, but I know now how to fill one up ... I just hope it stays well enough for my trip to work and back tomorrow!
Work! I had a 7 hour shift the other day and it was exciting. I don't know why, but I worked with Logan, and it was pretty busy so I manned the front while he helped around but mostly glazed and changed lots of music. I'm glad we have a cd player in there now instead of an annoying radio that plays the sameee songs all the time. I don't mind as much as the other girls cause they've been here longer, but after 3 times hearing a song, I get a little, what's the worddd ... "over it." So now we can bring in our own music, but I have no personal preference, I love everything! When Andi came in, I helped around throughout while she took care of customers. Then for a good amount of time we got to talk about ourselves, which was very nice, we definitely, hm, connected? which is a really good thing, I think. I'm really loving working there, I just wanted to rave about that. Oh and this one girl, probably high school or college aged I have no clue, was painting the most BEAUTIFUL plates ever, I absolutely adoooored them. :)

So today, Robert and I took the bus(es) to Sea World, it was veryyyy interesting to say the least, the bus ride there I mean. This crazy African American wanna-be-hoodlum tried scaring Robert & I into giving him money, but we knew the dude was a jokeeeee. Regardless, I still wanted to get the hell out of downtown, quickly!! So we got there, had a blast, got to see all the shows [besides the night ones, we got too tired by the middle of the day] ... and then came back home. My wonderfulllll dad picked us up at UTC and had a little bit of a hissy fit while he was at it ... :( Ha. But I'm very thankful for him cause ... buses freak me out!

All in all, the experience was good, and we got to use our Silver Passports! & I spent the wholleeeee day with Robert, which is rare during this break because we both work so much this week. His days off were Tuesday & Thursday, mine are Thursday and Saturday. Well, I'm very sore. It's looking like that scrapbook goal is going to go down to 5 or something lower unless a miracle happens on Saturday!

Good Morning Loves!

I hope I'm not just writing this for myself. If I am, oh well, I really like it! It keeps me in touch with myself I suppose. I woke up this morning with a very uncomfortable backache. Now I can feel that I have a huge knot. I know I'm young, I don't need massages, but I think I really do! Anyways, I'll update this post in a little bit once I finish with a scrapbook page I'm working on.

So I ended up not doing a page and helping Jodie, my cousin set up her blog instead. And I like it, it's very rockstar-girly in a good way. Hahah. It's in the "links I like" section. Work was alright today, it was just me and Ashley and a few customers. Ashley and I talked pretty much the whole time and we got free Vitamin Waters, ha. I've tried a few that weren't the triple X ones, and they weren't tasty, but the triple X one is really delicious! Ashley told me about this place, I forgot the name, that's like Jamba Juice, but better. I'll check it out, when I remember what it's called. I work 5 out of 7 days next week which is wonderful! I'm actually excited now 'cause for once I'll be doing something productive that isn't ridiculously tiring for my break.

Well. I'm too tired to work on a scrapbook page now [that's a problem, considering my scrapbook is due in about a month, I only have 10 pages done, 50 pages are required, AND ... I want to do a total of 98ish. Maybe 100 if I can think of 2 more topics to scrap.]

I suppose I'm off to sleep a wondrous sleep!

Work was a little bit of a let down, I was expecting a fast pace busy day, as did Andi (my boss), but it was very slow, and my boss and I were looking for little things to do. Hopefully tomorrow will be a little better. I can't wait to find out my schedule for the break, I really hope I get a day off that Robert has off (Tuesday or Thursday) so we can go to Sea World! Speaking of Sea World, Robert and I went on St. Patrick's day with his cousin, Maricris, her husband, Peter Paul, and their très précieux (very precious) son, Vance!
