Blog Spotlight :)

Sandra, who I've met from The Scrap Beach, has an amazing style! Her work is too cute and she makes some great unique embellishments. As a celebration for opening up her own etsy store to sell her handmade embellishments, Sandra is having some blog candy!
Head over to her blog to check it out!! :D

Pumpkins and Thank you.

I read a review online about the Basic Grey precision filing set, and the person that wrote it talked about cutting custom chipboard pieces and filing down with the files. I had never thought of handcutting my own chipboard album, but when I read the review I was inspired! So in the following video I take you along with my attempt. I'm really pleased!!

This next video is my very first Thank You card. It took a while to edit, the audio was a little funky, I hope it turns out okay!! :)

Here I create a Thank You card. This is the very first card I've ever made!! :)

The Scrap Beach Crop & Challenge!

It's midnight PST which means it's 3:00 AM for Kathryn, the founder of thescrapbeach.ning.com.
She's been on and scrapping since 6:00 PM her time [3:00 PM my time] yesterday evening. WOW! So on the network, she is hosting an all night crop and challenges that will last until Sunday 6:00PM EST. These are really fun and exciting challenges. The chat was really fun, I didn't get to chat as much as I would have liked to because I was hanging out with my parents a little more, but I did have a chance to make 2 layouts, 1 video, and take a picture! Wonderful!
This time for my video I used my iPhone to take the video, I taped it to my tripod [how scary, I thought it would fall, but it's SO sturdy! The sound quality may be bad, I'm not sure, my volume is really high. Haha. If so, I'm terribly sorry!
But I hope you enjoy the layouts!
Challenge #2: Stamp the Night Away

Challenge #3: No Right Angles

(I hope this still counts w/ my photos)

Video!

I'm so excited. I debuted my first video! Haha, it's terrible, but I'm happy that I did it. It was fun to film and really makes me want to buy a video camera so I can make more! :)

Enjoy!

Instead of saying the style of this album is vintage, I think it's more of a "Victorian" feel. It's really soft and elegant rather than "old" looking. So I'd like to think of it as ... Victorian as if it were made then and not aged. :) If that makes sense. HAhaha =)

Updates...

I'm terrible at them. Ever since I was a 15 year old blogger [When I was heavy into graphic designing and whatnot] I failed to update continuously. Haha. Which is probably why I can't keep many followers.

Anyways, today my mom and I FINALLY turned an old door into a desk, and I love it! We re-purposed the door, and the glass mat I have on it. I like the glass because it's a good painter's palette, easy-clean sorta non-stick surface, and cutting mat all in one! And it's a good size, it doesn't fit the whole desk because the desk [or door] is reallyyyy long. I decided instead of taking pictures with my camera and forgetting about them as I do often, I'd take a picture with my iPhone and put them up on here. The desk is already a mess and it's only been done for 2 and a half hours, but I was so excited I decided to scrapbook. [pictures of the page I made too].
I'm sure one day when my mom and I continue on our carpenter-ing journey to make a storage system for underneath my desk, and over/around my window, I'll take better pictures with my better camera. But for now, my iPhone is quick and easy [that's why I love it].
I plan to scrap every day this week and use up all of the scraps on my desk. That'll be a goal of mine. Start a week with a new set of stufff [or a new set from all of my old stuff, plenty of untouched things in my scrap-stash] and then throughout the week continue to use up what's left from my first project. :) I don't know if that makes sense, but for me it helps me truly get my money's worth out of all the product I have. Haha.

The layout is of seeing the Blue Man Group in person at The Venetian in Vegas when I went last Christmas. [I'm scrapping about last Christmas when it's so close to this Christmas!] I was so excited about the table I decided to scrapbook about whatever was closest to me and I had all this vegas stuff lying around so I decided to tackle that. :) More Vegas layouts will be made when I get some prints [I still need to go to CostCo!]
